Your pet's "home away from home"

At our facility, there is no need for an appointment for inspection.
We welcome your visit anytime!

When business or pleasure requires you to leave home, we have the solution for you and your pet. Northwest Rankin Animal Clinic's pet housing facilities include:

  • Specially built separate rooms for cats and dogs
  • Comfortable clean, A/C environment
  • Multiple walks for dogs on a leash
  • Your veterinary right here if some medical issue should arise
  • Administration of required medications, injections and treatment for special needs patients
  • Fed Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Stomach
  • Bathing available on site
  • Peace of mind knowing your pet is being cared for by professionals who will treat them as a part of the family


Here are some facts about our boarding facility:

  • We accept dogs and cats for boarding.
  • Puppies and elders are given extra attention and play time, additional bedding and cage cleaning.
  • IMPORTANT: We will ask you to supply us with a phone number where you can be reached in case of an emergency.
  • All boarding guests need to have had a veterinary exam within the year.
  • All dogs must have an annual bordetella vaccine.
  • All dogs and cats must be current with their rabies and distemper vaccinations.
  • All boarding guests should be free of internal and external parasites. This assures protection for your pet and others. (If your pet receives medical services elsewhere, it is your responsibility to bring the information to NWRAC. We will not accept dogs or cats without this documentation.)
  • We feed a nutritious diet designed to minimize gastrointestinal upset. If your pet is on a special diet, please be sure to bring it with you. IMPORTANT: We ask that you put dry portion in a disposable bag or container, so that our staff will know exactly what you expect your pet to be fed at each meal.
  • Because we provide clean, safe, appropriate bedding; we ask that you leave all of your pet's toys and bedding at home. Personal items make cleaning difficult and could ultimately end up lost.
  • If your pet is on medication, we will administer it during the boarding stay. Please bring the medication with you in the ORIGINAL labeled packaging. There is a daily charge for medication and insulin administration. If your pet is on insulin, please allow extra time during admission, as you are requested to meet with one of our Technicians so we fully understand your pet's status and needs.
  • Call early for a reservation, especially during the holidays or vacation times.
  • Boarding guests may arrive Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30AM and 6:00PM or on Saturday between 8:00AM and 12:00PM.
  • Payment is due at the time of pick-up; unless you choose to pick-up on Sunday, then we ask that you pre-pay. We accept cash, credit/debit cards and personal checks.
